Coming in Autumn: Two New Musicals in Berlin
On November 9, 2010, the world premiere of the Udo Lindenberg musical "Hinterm Horizont" ["Beyond the Horizon"] will take place in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz. Twenty years after the reunification of Germany, the piece tells a surprising "East-West-Side Story" with all of the great Lindenberg songs–a voyage in time filled with fateful encounters and boundless emotions. In contrast, "We Will Rock You", the worldwide success with the immortal songs by Queen, will premier in October in the Theater des Westens. In the musical, a handful of rock rebels in a completely globalized future without musical instruments struggle for freedom, individuality, and the rebirth of the rock age.
